Hiplife is dead – Tinny

1 min read

According to Hiplife artist Tinny known in real life as Nii Addo Quaynor, HipLife is dead and that’s the reason he’s not into active music.

In an interview with Hammer on Pure FM, the Ga rapper said new crop of musicians are no more interested in Hiplife as a genre of music. They prefer hip-hop and Dance hall to Hiplife making it looks unattractive

“Hiplife is dead. You barely see people come up and say they want to be Hiplife artistes and I think it has something to do with time because even Hiphop has changed in America and I think even when Azonto came it caused some distraction to Hiplife.” he said.

He said unless Hammer of the Last Two goes back to the studio, Hiplife cannot be resurrected.
